この建築は兵庫県の住宅地に建つ住宅と園庭です。 幼少時代から住み慣れた土地に女性単身が住む際に、どのような住まいの可能性があるかについて住み主と話し合いました。 そこで住み主にとっては地縁のある場所で、近隣の気配を感じ周辺環境と何らかの関わりのある場所とするため 、建物の1階と敷地の1部を保育園の園庭として使って頂く話を隣地の保育園に持ち掛けました。
Located in a vibrant residential area in Hyogo Prefecture, Japan this architecture features a blend of residence and playground. We seek to tailor our architecture to the diverse needs of our clientele, and in this case the homeowner was a single woman who had roots in this neighbourhood from childhood, and desired to use part of her property to help the children of the adjacently located nursery school. After consulting with the homeowner and the nursery school officials, the resulting plan maximized the outside space of the property as a playground for the nursery school. The result is a private residence with a close relationship to the surrounding neighbourhood.
